St. Michael's Church is located in Port Austin Michigan. By 1867, The people of Port Austin were in the process of collecting the funds to build a new church for Father Kluck and also a need of a home. Between 1867 and 1879, Catholics had made a tremendous progress as they had completed their first church however they didn’t have enough money to install a new bell until 1872.Port Austin had not burned however a much larger church was needed.By 1884, the new (current) church was completed. The original church was built on the corner of Independence, with the original rectory just south of it. New acreage of land was used to construct the present church, which was completed in 1884 and a new rectory north of it. In 1975, the main altar was cut down, the base was moved forward for the mass. The communion rail was removed and the sanctuary was extended four feet. The marble was removed from the rail and altar canopy were used to make a tabernacle altar against the back wall and decorate side altars. The organ was moved to front of church. As Port Austin is a very historical and a resort town we welcome any visitors to celebrate mass here with us at any of our weekend or weekday masses. The parish has roots in the community going back to 1869. Our current sanctuary was completed in the 1880’s. On July 1, 2013 the parishes of St. Michael of Port Austin, St. Mary of Czestochowa and St. Edward the Confessor were merged into one parish known as the Annunciation of the Lord Parish.

Annunciation of the Lord Parish seeks to build upon it's rich historical tradition and invites all to join with them in worship and praise of God the source of all blessing. Our parish name was selected because it is a Joyful Mystery of the Rosary and presents the good things that happen when you say 'Yes' to God's call. Further the name recalls the appearance of the Archangel Gabriel (a companion of Michael) and Mary - unleashing the font of holiness and grace into our World. Through the Incarnation we are all saved and can be Saints in the halls of heaven.
